Marriages the way you actually want them. Traditional, custom, or somewhere in between.
I am energetic, eccentric by nature, and built CASH to be the kind of church where novel and different does not have to ask permission. If you have vows you wrote on a napkin, a setting nobody has officiated in, or a structure that will not fit a generic order of service, bring it. We will build the ceremony together.
§ Where it Starts
Every marriage at CASH starts with a free conversation. About an hour. No commitment from either side. We meet, you tell me what you have in mind, I tell you what I can offer, we decide together. If we are a fit, we go from there. If we are not, no harm done.
§ The Honorarium
Marriage
$100 honorarium
plus travel from Ladson at standard IRS mileage
Long-distance ceremonies may include a small planning fee depending on the trip. Full waivers on the honorarium are available, no questions asked. Travel costs we will work out in conversation. Nobody is turned away.
§ What is included
Fit consultation
Free, about an hour, in person or by video call. No commitment from either side. We meet, you tell me what you have in mind, I tell you what I can offer, and we decide together whether to move forward. If we agree to proceed, this conversation counts as the first sitting.
Premarital sittings
One to two sittings after the fit consultation, scaled to the ceremony you want. Deeper conversation about the marriage, your story, what the doctrine of marriage means in your life, and how the ceremony itself will run.
Rehearsal
About an hour, typically the day before or that week. Included for ceremonies with a processional, attendants, multiple readings, or unusual sequencing. Optional for elopement-style or simple two-person ceremonies.
The ceremony
Officiation at the location of your choice. Traditional liturgy, fully custom order of service, or any blend in between. Vows can be the ones you wrote, the ones the couple wrote together, or the ones we develop in the premarital sittings.
License filing
After the ceremony I sign the SC marriage license and return it to the county probate office on your behalf. You receive the recorded certificate from the state.
§ Novel and Different
Most pastors will officiate one shape of wedding. I officiate the shape that fits the two of you. If you are imagining something nobody else will touch, that is the one I want to hear about first.
Forest ceremonies. Themed weddings. Two-language vow exchanges. Custom liturgy. Ceremonies that pull from your specific spiritual or cultural background. Order of service rebuilt from the ground up. Ring exchanges with hand-forged work. Outdoor processions through unusual terrain. Indoor ceremonies in spaces nobody has used for a wedding before. Bring the idea. We will figure out how to make it happen.
§ The SC Marriage License
The couple obtains the marriage license from any South Carolina county probate office. The state fee is roughly $60 to $80 depending on the county, paid to the probate office at the time the license is requested. There is a 24 hour waiting period between applying for the license and the ceremony, which can be waived if the couple completes a state-recognized premarital counseling program.
After the ceremony I sign the license as the officiant and return it to the probate office for recording. The recorded certificate comes back to you from the state. The license fee is separate from the honorarium and goes to the state, not to the church.
§ Videography Kit (optional rental)
If we are doing your ceremony, the videography kit travels with me and is available to rent for the day. Bring your own operator, or talk to me about coordinating one.
Full kit · day rate
$250 for the day
$400 refundable deposit on a card
Per-piece pricing available if you only need part of the kit. Drone sub-kit (Mini 5, two Neos, Nano 2 POV): $150. Wireless microphone kit: $50. Slypod Pro slider with mount: $75. CASH operator add-on for the ceremony window: $200 flat.
DJI Mini 5 drone
Aerial coverage of the venue and the ceremony. Smooth cinematic shots, low noise, easy to keep at a respectful distance.
Two DJI Neo drones
Two compact tracking drones running at the same time. Built for following two moving subjects independently, useful for first-look scenes, the recessional, or any sequence where the bride and groom split paths.
DJI Nano 2 POV unit
First-person view footage. Get the angle that puts the viewer inside the moment.
DJI wireless microphone kit
Clean audio captured directly off the officiant, the couple, and the readers. No more wind-buried vows.
Slypod Pro motorized slider
Motorized camera slider with a tripod mount. Cinematic horizontal or vertical motion through the ceremony. Mount your existing camera on it.
Drone use at a private wedding generally falls under the FAA recreational rules. The operator needs to complete the free FAA TRUST online test, fly under 400 feet during daylight in visual line of sight, and avoid flying over uninvolved people. If the footage will be sold or commercially produced, the operator needs an FAA Part 107 certification.
§ How to Book
Reach out through Connect with the language of what you have in mind. We set up a conversation, talk through the ceremony, and figure out the dates. Same first step whether it is a small backyard wedding or something nobody has officiated before.
