Pastoral Healing Ministry
Read before you book. Informed Consent.
Pastoral healing ministry is a religious relationship, not a clinical service. This document explains what that means in plain English. Read it through, then acknowledge below if you want to schedule a session with Church of American Strength & Hope.
§ What this ministry is
Church of American Strength & Hope provides pastoral care for what is commonly called anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, and the hard places in between. CASH understands these theologically as conditions of the soul in need of restoration, not medical diseases.
The doctrinal framework, the PCAS pastoral lens, and the 19 Maxims of Christian Strength are the foundation. The work is doctrinal teaching, pastoral conversation, and community. This is religious ministry under First Amendment protections for sincere religious practice, not clinical diagnosis or medical treatment.
§ What this ministry is not

·

·

§ Theological position
The sincere doctrinal belief of CASH, documented in the founding theological texts, is that anxiety, depression, personality conditions, and similar conditions arise from accelerated spiritual entropy. Pattern corruption in consciousness. These are not medical diseases requiring licensed treatment. They are spiritual conditions requiring pastoral ministry.
The assessment methodology (PCAS) flows directly from the theological understanding of consciousness as pattern competition.
