Financials & Accountability
Where your giving goes. All of it, into the mission.
Church of American Strength & Hope is funded by giving, not fees. The free programs stay free. This page shows who we are and how every dollar is used. We keep individual giving private; what we make public is how the money is spent.

§ How we are funded
The church runs on donations, one-time and monthly, given freely. We do not charge for pastoral care, the Kitchen, Bridge, or any of the core ministry. No one is turned away for lack of money. Giving is voluntary, and it is what keeps the free things free for the next person who walks in.
Church of American Strength & Hope is a 501(c)(3) church, so gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Commercial work is kept separate from the church and is not represented as a donation.
§ How your giving is used
Giving is directed entirely into the mission and the operations that deliver it, in this order of priority:
01
The Kitchen
Real food, cooked and served to members and neighbors. Groceries, supplies, and the labor to keep it running.
02
Pastoral care and counseling
The room, the time, and the pastoral work of sitting with people through the hard places.
03
Community programs
Bridge resource help, Community Partners, the work board, and the outreach that connects people to what they need.
04
The Weekly Community Draw
Half of each drawing returns directly to a member; the other half funds the programs above.
05
Operations
Hosting, tools, insurance, and the plain overhead it takes to keep the doors open and the free things free.
Our commitment: no private benefit, no inurement to insiders. What we earn and receive goes to the programs and the people they serve.
§ Accountability and privacy
We publish how funds are used. We do not publish a donor ledger. Who gives, and how much, stays between the giver and the church, on purpose: public tallies discourage quiet generosity, and we would rather protect the giver than perform the gift.
Records are kept, and the church operates under South Carolina nonprofit law and the accountability of its leadership.
